About us

FULL AHEAD CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES was founded in 2006 when Rev. Mike Cassidy, his wife Irene Cassidy, and long time Christian brother and friend, Rev. Thomas Huntley, all felt the calling of God to take up a ministry that was devoted to seniors, veterans and members of the emergency services. At the time all three were executive members of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers - Canada.

Shortly after forming the ministry both Rev. Mike and Rev. Tom were ordained by the Evangelical Christian Church in Canada (Christian Disciples) and they offered a complete range of Chaplaincy programs to retirement homes in Barrie Ontario. Today the ministry continues serving seniors as well as providing chaplaincy to veterans of Canada's Military and Police. Full Ahead Christian Ministries also serves the community in assistance to homeless and others in need through food bank programs and our local Salvation Army Family Services Program.

Our Ministry remains strong in appreciation and prayer for our dedicated personnel in Military, Police Services, Corrections, Conservation Officers, Firefighters and Paramedics.

After our founding members Irene Cassidy and Rev. Mike Cassidy passed away and returned to Christ's side, Rev. Tom's wife, Sylvie, joined the Board of Directors. Sylvie had been involved in Victims Services response as a volunteer and in giving presentations on living with domestic abuse. In 2014 our new Director, Ms. Shauna Cassidy, (Mike and Irene's daughter) joined the Board of Directors as President of the Ministry filling the role her father held since our inception.

Full Ahead Christian Ministries is a fully volunteer non-denominational ministry that is not supported by any church or denominational body. No person in this ministry is paid a stipend or a salary. As a pensioner Rev. Huntley believes that God provide us sufficient means through our pension and helpful donations from friends of this ministry to financially support His ministry trusted to their keeping.

The Evangelical Christian Church in Canada (Christian Disciples) [ECCCiC] is a non-denominational ministry based in the roots of the  Restoration Movement. The ECCiC believes in the freedom to serve wherever You are called - the freedom to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Christian doctrine of salvation without restrictions - the freedom to believe in the Bible without human opinions or influences - the freedom to be You and be different in race, culture, language, dress code and appearance - to be free as Christians. For more information on ECCCiC go to http://www.eccincanada.com/
